At 2,200 acres, the Lynn Woods Reservation is one of the country's largest municipal parks. Boasting three ponds and 30 miles of forested trails, it is an ideal spot for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park also contains historic sites including a 48-foot high stone tower and Dungeon Rock, featuring a 135-foot deep man-made cave carved out in the pursuit of rumored pirate treasure. The park sprawls a few miles west of downtown Lynn, about 15 miles north of Boston.
